Responsibilities Include: 

The Sales Manager will work directly with the Executive Vice President to hire, train and manage an exceptional sales team that performs to meet company quotas and benchmarks:

  • Work with existing Sales Reps to help create, maintain and execute a successful sales plan through prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting solutions and proposals which will successfully integrate solutions into client environments and building loyal customer relationships.
  • Partner with sales team in sales presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, internal trainings and proposal development related to document management solutions.  Penetrate large existing account base as well as seek new business relationships.
  • Manage sales team to ensure the CRM contacts, sales activities, and calendar appointments and tasks are accurate and updated daily. Apply a consultative approach to C level and IT contacts with prospective customers through analysis of customer business and technology requirements, workflows and short/long term corporate initiatives which will lead to a customized business solution. 
  • Become a subject matter expert in support of current offerings and processes, to include researching and learning new products and software solutions to meet customer needs. Keep informed of new equipment and successfully launch new models to company.
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.
  • Analyzing statistics, pipeline, forecasts, data reports and sales results; make recommendations for improvements and opportunities.
  • Designing discount campaigns or special offers, as well as analyzing similar campaigns from competitors.
  • Developing plans to gain new sales markets and territories, new customers or niches of market exposure. 

Hiring Criteria: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, IT or other related fields required
  • Industry certifications helpful, but not required (i.e. CDIA+, Project +, etc.). 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years prior experience in outside Sales, within the office equipment or IT industry is desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation) to include experience in client relations at the C-level.  Must demonstrate a professional attitude and appearance.  Active listening skills.
  • Strong proficiency and knowledge with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Highly self-motivated, assertive, self-starter and flexible with a willingness and desire to learn.
  • Basic understanding of information technologies and networking concepts
  • Strong organizational and planning skills required.  Must be very process oriented.  Project Management experience helpful.
