CBT’s Service Technicians Receive Ricoh’s Prestige Elite Certification

Congratulations to Royce and Dave from the Service Department for their dedication to service excellence. They received Ricoh’s Prestige Elite Certification status this year. Technicians only qualify for the certification if they score over 80% on a time restrictive test and are only awarded if they rank in the top 75. Only 42 dealerships across the United States had a technician qualify for this award- that’s less than one per state! (And we had two!) This is a huge honor, and we appreciate all the hard work our technicians do.

Please join us in congratulating Royce and Dave for their hard work and commitment to service excellence.

Century Cares

Back in March of 2019, Century Business Technologies along with the Topeka Pilots hosted a Pizza Party for the families of the Topeka Rescue Mission. The evening began with a pizza party complete with LaRocca’s pizza and garlic knots and ended in the Party Zone at the Topeka Pilots’ arena. Century employees came out with their families to spend time with the wonderful people of the Rescue Mission. During that time, everyone enjoyed popcorn and ice cream while experiencing the thrill of watching hockey right up against the plexiglass. Xavier, one of the boys from TRM, even dropped the puck for the players!

Century not only wanted to provide a night of fun for the families, but also wanted to give something back. During the game, each child signed the front of a Pilot’s jersey while later the entire Pilot’s team signed the back of it. The jersey, along with other coveted Pilot’s gear, was auctioned off with all the proceeds going towards Topeka Rescue Mission Ministries.

Together, Century and the Pilots raised $445 for the Topeka Rescue Mission’s Children Palace.

Out in the Community with CBT's Dynamic Division

Once again, this past holiday, Century Business Technologies- Dynamic Division proudly sponsored TARC's 21st annual Winter Wonderland at Lake Shawnee. TARC's Winter Wonderland consists of a massive decorative display of over 1 million Christmas lights all around the lake. For many, it has become a fun, family tradition to visit every year! With the help of over 500 volunteers, totaling 1655 volunteer hours, TARC raised over $189,000. This will go towards children, adults, and families with developmental, intellectual, and related disabilites.

TARC is a huge blessing Topeka. They have dedicated their time, resources, and staff to helping those in need. We are so honored and grateful for their presence in the community. And without community support this marathon fundraiser wouldn't be possible!

Pictured is the "After the Lights" appreciation event at TARC for our sponsorship of Winter Wonderland.

Dynamic Duo: Century Business Technologies buys Dynamic Computer Solutions

9/27/2018 - Topeka Capital Journal  | Topeka, KS  -   Century Business Technologies has acquired Dynamic Computer Solutions, which will expand its business to add managed informational technology services. The two companies have been long-time associates, with the owners serving on multiple community boards and also utilizing each other’s products and services, said Mitch Miller, founder of Dynamic. And both have been in business for more than 30 years, an unusual situation, Miller said, when it is usually a well-established business buying a newer company.

“I’ve used their equipment for 15 years,” Miller said of copy machines at his company. “We’ve partnered together, with us taking care of their systems here and across the state for the last almost three years.” Dawna McCabe, president and CEO of Century, said the two companies are a natural fit.

Century, in business since 1981, began as a copier sales company and morphed over the years to add multiple lines of business, including a wider range of equipment, software packages that work on the equipment and also for document management and even an LED lighting division.  “We’ve evolved to more of a consultative approach, where we go in and we’re not dealing most of the time with the purchasing manager,” she said. “It’s more of the C-level type people and trying to get a seat at their executive table, where we’re talking about their technology road map, what are their business goals, and where do they see technology and how it fits into their business. It’s then putting together that plan, whether it’s software, equipment or something custom, or something on the network side of things in the cloud.”

Century Business Technologies Director of Services Brian Habig Earns National Recognition

At the 2018 annual PROs Elite Service Executive Meeting on August 21st in Clearwater, Florida, Century Business Technologies Director of Service Brian Habig received the prestigious PROs Elite 100 Service Executive of the Year award! As this was unexpected, Brian was both surprised and humbled for this unique recognition. Brian said, “This is a tribute to everyone in the company, especially the service department, for all of their hard work and determination in coming so far in our metrics in the last 4 to 5 years. It’s been a journey, and we aren’t finished yet! There are still even higher goals to reach!” Congratulations on a job well done.

Brian currently directs the management of Century Business Technologies Service Department, overseeing service operations of thousands of pieces of equipment with eleven field technicians at five locations across the state. The Pros Elite 100 is an exclusive dealer community. Dealerships cannot join the Pros Elite 100. Instead, they must be selected to be part of this Elite performing group of dealers, that spans throughout North America and select international markets, based on measurable benchmark financial / operational results. In addition, they must have an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and “Best in Class” service. When a service executive achieves the “Pros Elite 100 Service Executive of the Year” award, it highlights a major accomplishment in their career because they have achieved a performance level that falls amongst the top 10% of all elite performing dealers selected to the Pros Elite 100 dealer community.
